I am seeking information on Ellen Tyrrell, born in Barehaven or Bearhaven, Cork on February 22, 1860. She immigrated to the U.S. around 1880, landing in Boston, MA, but ended up marrying a Samuel King in Ironwood, Michigan in 1889. Thank you for you any information you might have. I am almost 100% certain she was RC.

Hello Cathy
Ideally some parental details would assist in identifying the correct Ellen.
Bearhaven is in the Catholic Parish of Castletown/Castletownbere, records of which can be seen at http://www.irishgenealogy.ie/en/ . Initial searches however do not indicate any returns. There was a return for an Ellen Tyrrell with a date similar to the date you provided in the neighbouring parish of Allihies – see link

Using the information obtained a further baptism for a brother Eugene was also found
Some information you may find of assistance

I cannot work out any connection between the Patrick Walsh & Marg. Lowney PDF and the thread that it has been posted under. Nevertheless it is a very interesting story and I have extracted the details contained therein into my Beara database. Many thanks.
