I am trying to find information concerning Moses Leslie/Lesley and his possible brothers who came to Ireland most likely from Scotland possibly during the Covenanter Period. I would like to know the story as to why they came and how they ended up with the land known as Leslie's Hill located roughly within the boundaries of Derrygarve Road and Aughrim Road in Derrygarve, Parish of Ardtrea, Castledawson, Magherafelt, Ireland.

I'm also from the Leslie famly of Leslie's Hill, Derrygarve. Please let me know if you have found anything. I've traced the Leslies in that parish back to the 1740 Protestant Householders' Return, but that's it. I don't believe Moses himself came from Scotland, but one of his ancestors probably did.
My ancestor was James Leslie, of unknown relationship to Moses, but perhaps a brother.
