Hello from New Zealand

Hello from New Zealand. My name is Sharon and I will be in Ireland late August and early September 2013. I am trying to trace where I come from on my fathers side. My grandfather was born in Convent Street on the 22nd May 1872 His father was Michael ( a baker I think) and his Mother was Annie Moore. Michaels  father was Thomas a stonecutter, married to Margaret Fitzpatrick. Annie's parents were John Moore and Catherine nee (Corcaran ? spelling). If anyone can help with the smallest of details I would be very grateful as I don't have a lot of time in Ireland to do this. My family came out to Australia and then my grandfather came to New Zealand late 1890's. Cheers From a sunny Christchurch.
