My g.grandfather was John Charles Edward Chambers (b. Rathcoole 16 July 1864,) the son of James Crawford Chambers (b. 1830 Ballymoney d. 1899 Rathcoole) and Mary Anne Fulton (b. 1829 Londonderry d. 1912 Rathcoole/Celbridge)
1. All of my relatives are Church of Ireland.
2. I have a copy of JCE Chambers' birth and also of his marriage to EJW.
3. I do not know what parish James Crawford Chambers or Mary Anne Fulton are from
I was told that James was a sort of groundskeeper for the Johnstown Estate and I have done research and know that it’s no longer standing. James and Mary Ann had several other children that I’m aware of: Martha Crawford Chambers (b. 1856 d. 1942,) Thomas Andrew Chambers( b. 1860 d. 1934,) Richard Alfred Chambers (b. 1866 d. 1867,) Samuel Chambers (b. 1870 d. ?) William James Chambers (b. 1872 d. ?)
JCE Chambers married my g.grandmother, Elizabeth Jane Watson B. April 1864 (not sure where but her siblings, William, Matthew, Frances, and Susan Christina were all born in Dublin. They married 10 July 1889 at St. George’s Church in Dublin had 2 children soon after (William James Herbert & Matthew Leopold) and emigrated to the US around 1892.
I am wondering if there are any relatives still left in that area and if any of my relaives are buried there as I am planning a trip to Ireland this coming October (2016.) Any help would be greatly appreciated.
