I am looking for any information on my family. Patrick Kane/Keane was born in 1824 and married Ann Fagan in 1840 in Rathfarnum. They had many children - Mary, Elizabeth, Thomas, Catherine, Julia, John, James, Daniel, Frances, Christopher, Patrick. My gr grandfather was John Joseph Kane and he was born in Templeogue in 1851. He married Bridget McCarthy and they had about 12 or 13 children. Bridget died at 32 yrs. John remarried Emily Leary/O"Leary in 1899 and they had 9 children. The church records are Kane and the civil records seem to be Keane. John lived in Harolds Cross and had a construction business. He lived (built) 84 Harolds Cross Rd which is now 186 Harolds Cross Road.
If anyone can help me I would be eternally greatful.

Toni:
Below are the 1901 and 1911 census records for John Keane and his family. If the 1911 census record is correct, he and Emily were married around 1889. You can use www.familysearch.org to look for civil birth, death and marriage index records. Also, try www.irishgenealogy.ie for church records in Dublin.

Thank you your websites. I have exhausted all these sites. I have also used Glasnevin Trust.ie and now I am looking at Gravesite requests.
I have subscriptions for Ancestry, Findmypast and Newspaper Archives.
The family immigated to England and Canada and then to united States.
Perhaps I now need to get a genealogist to help me as I reside in Canada.
Thanks again.

Hi Toni,
I might be from a different branch of Keane's but my 2nd ggrandfather was Thomas Keane b. 1863 in Drimoleague. His parents were John and Julia Driscoll.
