Checking over the years about St. Marnock's Graveyard I know there are no markings of the grave of my Grandfather/Uncle/Aunt and Granduncle, I just remember it was near the walls of the Old Church and did visit as a child and over 15yrs back. They were all lived in Marino, Dublin 3. Michael Tierney died 1936 John Tierney " 1949 Alice Mullally (Tierney) 1950 Jack (John) Kearney 195/56??? I did read a few articles over the years that Fingall were going to take this very old graveyard over Famous Jameson Family buried there as well as a Lord Mayor of Dublin. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks Rita (Canada)

Hi there,
You should try this newly launched website: http://historicgraves.ie/ or else write to the parish priest there. Here is a website link for the parish: http://www.portmarnockparish.ie/?page_id=27
This is also a useful website about the buildings of Ireland: http://www.buildingsofireland.ie/niah/search.jsp?type=record&county=FI®no=11350030
Hopefully, someone living in the Portmarnock area will be able to offer you more information.
Please make sure you link anyone else in your family who is interested in their Irish heritage to our site - and indeed anyone else you know of Irish heritage.
Kind regards,

Thanks for all the info Sinead, have tried most with no luck over the years as the websites like historic graves and this one there isn't much info yet as they are fairly new and no research has been done on many graveyards in Dublin. RTE had a good prog. re a small graveyard in Finglas and local school children were getting lots of info so hopefully I get some answers one of these days. Will let other friends/family know about this site....... Rita
