Hello all. I am trying to trace my Goggin ancestors. All I have is a:- John or James, James John or John James Goggin who was either born in Clonmel or whose family came from Clonmel, Tipperary/Waterford. I appreciate that this request is a difficult one as I have little to go on other than this family "supposed" link to Clonmel? For instance, I do not know whether he was of the Catholic faith or Protestant etc so do not know what Church or Parish the family belonged to?
What I do know is that he died in the Shoreditch / Hackney areas of London, Middlesex. The following is what I have managed to find.

Do any of these names meaning anything .. to any one out there ... or link in with their family histories??? I would appreciate any help from my cousins in Eire who think they could lend a hand as we would love to trace back further from John 1819-47 and margaret 1815-75. Many thanks Su.

Dear Su, I think we may be researching the same family! I have a Goggin baptism circa 1804, another 1806 so your John may fit in somewhere. Can you contact me privately? Xanadu.
