My GG grandmother< Elizabeth Doyle, came to the USA and married Dennis McCaffrey in/and or settlerd in Shamokin, PA.  The inscription on their tombstone located in St. Edward's cemetery, Shamokin, PA reads:  Elizabeth Doyle, wife of Dennis McCaffrey, native of Kilconduff, Kilconduff Parish, Co. Mayo, Ireland departred this life May 23, 1903.  His tombstone reads: Dennis McCaffrey A native of the Parish of Boe Co. Fermanagh Ireland departed this life Oct. 7, 1863 aged 46 years & (?) days (May he rest in peace)??   According to the 1870  US PA census she is listed as the head of household, age 45 with her son Thomas age 17.  The only other thing I know about Elizabeth Doyle is that she had a sister, Mary Doyle.  Family notes say they were from Swineford, Ireland.   Where is Swineford?  Can I find any resources to trace backwards from Elizabeth?   Thank you for any help.

Swinford is a town in east Co. Mayo and is part of Kilconduff civil parish.

The 1856 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing shows a good number of Doyles in the parish.

I checked Roots Ireland www.rootsireland.ie but could not locate a baptismal record for an Elizabeth Doyle in Mayo back in the 1820-1830s.

Do you have a copy of her 1903 death record? Possibly it would show parents names.
