James Harvey born 1784 married (Isa)Bella Martin February 8, 1823 in either the Downpatrick or the Saul Parish Church of Ireland. I have visited the Downpatrick church and found no record.
They lived in Hollymount townland (also an estate) until they emigrated to Canada in April 1847 with their 9 children aboard the Josepha out of Belfast.
I have found a trace of James' father, also James, and a number of Downpatrick churchwardens named Harvey, but have been unable to confirm that they are related.
As well, I have found Martins as churchwardens, but am unable to establish a connection to Bella. I have no information about Bella other than her birthdate and her marriage.
I'd like to establish these connections.
Cheers, Carl
