most of my research comes from records throught ancestry.com. Looking for the family of William Love and Mary Hurst. They were married at Whitehall chapel about 1836. I next found them in Frontenac, Ontario, Canada in 1852 and had 5-6children. I have not been successful in finding immigration records or records in Ireland.

I had someone on Ancestry.com tell me her ancestor was a sister of Mary Hurst and thet is where the information regarding Derryvullen and Whitehall come from.

We had known as a family that Fermanagh was the County.

  • Unfortunately Derryvullan RC parish records don?t cover the years you need. Their baptisms only start in 1846 and marriages in 1851. (If there were any earlier records, they have been lost).

Looking at Griffiths Valuation for 1862 for Derryvullan, there were 4 Love households listed. In the townlands of Lissan, Tamlaght, Drumard & Keeran. If you have no other leads you could perhaps investigate them to see if they were related.
