Have you tried checking the 1901/1911 census records to see if there were any family members still living in the area at the turn of the century? You can check these here:

Hi Paula,
Thanks for your help. I've requested info from the Val office in Dublin to try and track Daniel Clarke's descendants who remained on his properties around Ballygar. There have been two large Clarke family histories compiled for the numerous descendants of Daniel and his brother Lawrence in the US.
