I understand that my ancestors, John Griffin and Catherine Hoar lived and died in Kerry.  They lived about 60 years in the Townland of Caherpierce, civil Parish of Ballinvoher, Barony of Corkaguiny, County Kerry.

John Griffin was born in 1791, died in March, 1882

Catherine Hoar was born in1809 and died Mar 1899

They had three children, Michael, James and Timothy.

I would like to get any details available on this family, they are the grandparents of my grandmother, Anna Griffin of Binghamton, New York, USA.

I am particularly interested in the parents of both John and Catherine, including years and location of birth and death.

Thank you,  Jim Taylor

  • Hi Jim

have you had a look at this website : http://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/  at the top of the page select "By Date" - also on the blue words you can click to open to the baptism and or marriage details - however not all records survived and there are some mistakes

    Hope this helps
