I am looking for information on my great-great grandparents Timothy Michael Houlihan and Margaret Cunningham.
Timothy was born around 1820 and Margaret was born around 1830. They had 6 children - James, Catherine, Patrick, Thomas, Daniel & Margaret. James and Patrick immigrated to Australlia. (Family stories tell that they were sent there on convict ships but I have found no evidence.) Margaret (my great grandmother) immigrated to the US and settled in Louisville, Kentucky. Thomas stayed in Ireland but three of his children immigrated to the states and lived in Louisville. They were Margaret, Nora and Patrick. I believe that Catherine and Daniel died young as I have been unable to find any information on them other than their baptismal record.
I am interested to find out the names of the parents of Timothy or Margaret (Cunningham) and when they died. I am also looking for information on Thomas's family that stayed in Ireland. (The 1911 census lists them as living in Pallas.)
Thank you.

Tom:
You may want to look at www.irishgenealogy.ie which has a lot of Co. Kerry baptismal records. There is a record for a Timothy Houlihan in 1820 and 1819. Not sure if this is your Timothy.
I would also look at www.familysearch.org for death index records for Timothy and Margaret. If you find an index record which looks promising, you can write to the GRO www.groireland.ie for a copy of the record for around 4 euros.
