I am researching Callaghan of Cummeen Upper, Kilgarvan, Co. Kerry.
In the 1901 Census, Cornelius Callaghan and his wife Margaret (Coffey) are living in House 3 Cummeen Upper, Kilgarvan.
In the 1911 Census, the couple are living in House 6 Cummeen Upper with their son Cornelius.
The Kilgarvan Church records show the marriage of Cornelius to Marget of Dirreen in 1861. The same records later show the baptisms of their 10 children.
There are several Callaghan or O'Callaghan families in Cummeen Upper and not known if their are related. The word Fox might give a clue.
Question: are there descendants of the family still in Cummeen Upper?

I am also searching for descendants of Callaghan's in Cummeen Upper. My great-grandparents were Cornelius Callaghan and Catherine Connell. My grandmother, Bridget Callaghan, came to the US in 1905, but 3 siblings stayed....Nellie who married Thomas Daly/ a railroad man; Daniel and John. When I visited Ireland, a neighbor claims that the various Callaghan's in the townland had different nicknames and my Callaghan's were known as the Raiders. I would really like to connect with any descendants of the family. Thanks, Mary
