I am sorry that this post is coming over a year after your original post, but I have a little information that may help you. I too have been looking for information about Edward (Edmund?) Bradley and Ann (Annie?) O'Connell.

My Great-Great Grandmother's name was Ellen Bradley, who married Edward C. Godley (my Great-Grandfather) in 1880, in Eldon, Iowa. Also in 1880 (presumably before the wedding), the federal census lists Ellen as living in James Bradley's house, also in Eldon, IA, and related to James as his sister.

James Bradley lives next door to James Mulvaney, who, as you mention, is married to Ann Bradley.

In the 1925 Iowa census, Ellen Godley (Bradley) lists her parents as Edmund Bradley and Ann O'Connell, and it is possible that Edmund is actually Edward, but misheard or mis-written. If Edmund and Edward are the same person, it would appear that Ann Bradley, Ellen Bradley, and James Bradley are siblings.

Additionally, James Bradley's tombstone lists him as born in Waterville, County Kerry, Ireland. Waterville is in Dromod Parish, so it seems possible that some of the Bradleys and O'Connells listed in Griffith's Evaluation for Dromod are in fact relatives of our families.

I am just beginning to explore and document my family's history, and this connection to Ireland is of particular interest to me. I will likely be travelling to Ireland this fall, and would very much like to visit Waterville and County Kerry. Hopefully I can further my understanding of the relationships before that time.

Thanks so much for your message. I had seen Ellen Bradley in that 1880 Census and thought she, James and Ann might be siblings. I hadnt seen the 1925 Census.  I got the name Edward from Anns death Certificate . It is just as likely that it was misremembered by her son Thomas . It may be Edmund . My fathers middle name was Edward so I thought that may have come from the Bradleys .

Glad to hear you are thinking of traveling to Ireland. I hope you enjoy the area and may find some family history or even cousins! I made contact with an Irish Cousin in the Meath Parish area. Her grandmother was a Mulvan(e)y from a related branch. We have a chat now and then on Facebook and she has sent me some great pictures.

In studying Parish Records in Kerry I often find Edmund and Edward used interchangeably. Translating from the Latin can be tricky at times and some of the handwriting is somewhat eccentric to say the least! 

I am so happy that you have found each other as this is one of the things that we volunteers at Ireland Reaching Out love to see happen... the way in which cousins can meet and help each other in their searches.
