Dear Laurence, have you links?
Where did Jane and Daniel marry?
I look forward to helping you.

I have the Birth and Baptismal certificate from the Church of the Holy Cross in Cahirciveen of the son William Casey, my Grandfather. He was born 27 Jul 1863, and his parents are named as Daniel Casey and Jane Neill.
I visited a cousin Mrs Clifford many years ago on Bridge Street in Cahiciveen, and she showed me the house in Ballycarberry, across from the Castle where Daniel Casey lived, also where he is buried, in the cemetary near the Cahiciveen Bridge..
Also, Daniel Casey (1833-1936) is the subject of "Daily Express" Newspaper Article in 1933, in which he is pictured at age 102 in front of the Farmhouse in Ballycarberry.
Mrs Clifford told me the his parents were William Casey and Katherine Keating, but that is all I know.
She told me that Katherine Keating was from Garrane, in my notes.

Dear Laurence,
it would be worthwhile contacting the parish
http://www.caherciveenparish.com/enquiry.php?t=26
with these enquiries if you have not already done so. Some parishes have volunteers who are familiar with their own parish records.
You can also search online here http://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/
Griffiths Valuation gives this return for William Casey http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/index.xml?action=doNameSearch&Submit.x=27&Submit.y=15&Submit=Submit&familyname=casey&firstname=William&baronyname=&countyname=KERRY&unionname=&parishname=
and these for John Neill
I'm sorry I don't have time to check these for you tonight, but do let me know if anything pops.
Martine
