I'm hoping to find where in Kerry my G. Great Grandfather came from. His name was Eugene Owen O'Sullivan, and he was noted as a twenty year old single labourer from Kerry, in his passage from London to Port Chalmers New Zealand departing 25 July 1874. He spent his life in NZ as a gold miner in Kumara, raising a family of seven boys and two girls. Only the girls and two of the boys went on to have children. His son's names were Eugene (eldest), Michael, John, Denis (his wife's father's name), Jeremiah, James and William. The girls were, Mary (his wife's mother's name) and Imelda.
In his obituary he was noted as a 'native of Kerry'.
I'm making a personal history photo book for my almost 80 year old Mum. She always felt closest to the O'Sullivan side of the family, and longs to know more of their origins in Ireland.
Kind regards,
Kerrie
