Dear Andi, I am a little confused... can you let us know what you are looking for? Do you have a townland of origin?
Looking forward to helping if I can.

Hello Martine,
According to my great grandfather, Daniel Sheehan's naturalization record; he was from County Limerick. I have no exact town origin, and I have no idea whether all of this information is true. There are many different birthdates for him on many legal documents.
My great grandmother's origins in Ireland is unknown; she had no naturalization record that I know of.
There are no marriage records for them in White Plains, New York, so I don's have more information on them.
My grandmother's name was Mary; who was born in NY. I also don't know if her baptism sponsor was a relative? Her name was Bridget Moran.
I have also not been able to find a passenger list for my great grandmother in 1888.
Maybe, you could also check parishes on the border of Co. Limerick, for their birth records and families?
Thank you. I appreciate your desire to help me.

Dear Andi, the map enclosed shows you the civil parishees which border Limerick http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~irlker/civparlist.html
You can then go to the church website at and search using the placenames like this http://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/search.jsp?namefm=&namel=&exact=&name2fm=&name2l=&location=Duagh&dd=&mm=&yy=&diocese=KERRY+(RC)&parish=¢ury=&decade=&sort=&pageSize=100&ddB=&mmB=&yyB=&ddM=&mmM=&yyM=&ddD=&mmD=&yyD=&locationB=&locationM=&locationD=&member0=&member1=&member2=&member3=&member4=&member5=&member6=&member7=&member8=&member9=&namef0=&namef1=&namef2=&namef3=&namef4=&namef5=&namef6=&namef7=&namef8=&namef9=&namel0=&namel1=&namel2=&namel3=&namel4=&namel5=&namel6=&namel7=&namel8=&namel9=&keyword=&submit=Search
If you then add the name of the person for whom you are searching you can match the details against what you already know.
I know that this is painstaking work but by a process of elimination you may be able to find a connection.
Have you also posted your information on the Limerick boards since that is the clearest direction that you have?
