My great grandfather Thomas Dillon immigrated to Detroit around 1886 and died there in 1923. He married Hannah Casey from Mitchelstown in 1891 in Detroit. The only info I have is that he was born around 1865 in Ballicorne, County Kerry. I can't located Ballicorne and wonder if it is a mistake or no longer exists. Any information is appreciated.

Maureen, thank you for the marriage info, I had the date but none of the other information you provided. What is no surprise is that Hannah's fathers name is actually Michael and mothers is Hanorah. I think that's why it can be so difficult researching, sometimes I think they just use Patrick and Mary if the person isn't there to make sure it's correct. I don't believe my great grandmother could read or write.
I did not have the Irish genealogy site as a reference tool, thank you for that too.
