 If you are researching the surname Shea in Co. Kerry, it will be complicated because the name is very common. I suggest you provide the names of the people that you have and when they lived in Ireland. Possibly one of our volunteers may be able to assist you. If you know the townland where they lived that will be a big help.

Thank you foryour help but I'm looking for my mother's side of the family my great grandmother's last name was ogrady, which I'm sure is a very common name as well.I will definitely try one of the search engines and I thank you for your quick reply this is something that greatly interest me considering I still have family there and the last one who knows all the information is my 93 year old grandmother who unfortunately is suffering from Al timers / dementia. I will find out her father's nameher mother's maiden name was O'Connor. I know she came to the USA when she was 19 years old and married William flagherty

Looking for O'Gradys will be a lot easier. There were only 50 O'Gradys in Co. Kerry in the 1901 census. Let us know your great-grandfather's name whne you get it and we will see if we can find him.
