I located christening records of my great great grandfathers children I believe and they all say Rathmore with Novahal and Kilcummin, Kerry, Ireland. What does that mean? These records date from 1850 through 1863 ( 7 children). I think I have also located my great great grandfathers address through the 1901 census, which has him living at 12 Tooreencahill, Coom, Kerry. Are these places local to each other? My great great grandfather and grand mother's names were Jeremiah Sheehan and Catherine Hickey according to christening records. Census records show the same names except Sheehan as my grandmother's surname. Someone told me that that address puts them in the Novahaldaly parish. I am very confused. Any help would be greatly apprecciated.

Jeremy:
Kilcummin and Novahaldaly are civil parishes in east central Co. Kerry close to the area where Co. Kerry meets Co. Limerick and Co. Cork. Rath More is a townland in Kilcummin civil parish. ( A townland is the smallest land division in Ireland. They are usually 100-600 acres in size but some can be larger). I assume Rath More may have been where the church was located.
Tooreencahill is a townland in Novahaldaly parish.
I think the Novahal mentioned with the church records is Novahaldaly.
Both Toorreencahill and Rath More are listed in Google Maps. I didn't determine how far apart they are.
