I am seeking information on a McNamara family that emigrated from Tralee in the 1860/70s for Georgia. One member of that family was Elizabeth McNamara who was born in Tralee but died at Augusta, Georgia on 24 July 1880, at 27 years of age. My great, great grandmother, Ellen McNamara immigrated to Athens, Georgia in the 1860/70s and may have been part of Elizabeth's family.

You could also check for record of the family in the land records pertaining to Ireland in the 19th century. There are two:

Hi,
can I ask if you have found any information. My Dad was born in County Kerry , Tralee in 1973. He's called John Joseph McNamara and so is his dad. I believe they moved to County Tipperary, Clogheen.

Hi MJ, I found Elizabeth here https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/93915493 and here in the 1880 Census https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M8GR-Y6P living with Catherine Dunn, her aunt and Jerry Dunn her first cousin. You also have the name of her sister Catherine O'Callaghan who had her memorial erected.
I am wondering if this Lizzie Dunn listed here in 1870 is your Elizabeth https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MC3G-23Q
Have you got all these people in your tree?
Do you know who Ellen's husband was and did she marry in Ireland or in the U.S. ?
