Hello,
I am researching John Shea and Catherine Early , (3rd great grandfather and grandmother). Family members whom have passed on did state that they both were born in County Kerry Ireland and married there. They immigrated, (no choice of there own) to New Brunswick about 1828- 1830. Thier son Timothy was born in 1831 St. John, New Brunswick. Due to a great fire there all records where distroyed. They moved to Boston, MA about 1836 which was there final destination. I am wondering if there would be any marriage and/or birth records for John Shea and Catherine Early for about 1805 - 1815 in this parish. I am new to this website and not sure how to go about this? I can tell you that John did have a sister named Mary of which I found in US Census records.
Thank you
Kathleen

Kathleen:
Unfortunately, RC records for Tuosist parish begin in 1844 which is later than you need. Civil registration did not begin until 1864.

Kathleen,
Vital records for Dublin City and Counties Kerry, Cork, and Carlow are available at http://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/ . As noted above, these records are incomplete or not available before early 1800's.
The name John Shea is very common in Tuosist, but the earliest I can find is a baptism in 1820. Other parishes in Kerry have some earlier baptisms.
Early is not a common name in Kerry. In fact, there are only 3 instances of this name in these records, and those are in or near Killarney. Most occurrences of the Early name are in Dublin. Here is the information on Catherina Early baptized in 1811.

Wow, Thank you. I just noticed this response from you.
Killarney would make sense, for the region they lived in here in the US all where from Sneem. And I believe Sneem is in the area of Killarney, have to the map...but thank you
