Jim was well known for his role in the Irish War of Independence, but he left Ireland about 1927 to join his sisters in San Francisco – he died at a young age, around 1941.Another brother, John, was drowned in a significant tragedy for this small fishing community in 1908.I would like to connect with any relations to this line.would like to find John M and Julias parents

Bob:
Below are the 1901 and 1911 census records for your family. Looks like Denis was born in 1889 or 1890.
The 1911 census record indicates that Julia had 11 children but only 8 were living in 1911.

Bob:
I did look for a marriage index record for John and Julia around 1875 (based on the 36 years in the 1911 census) in the Cahersiveen district. There were six John Sheas married in that district in 1875 alone. One was married to a Ellen Casey another to a Julia Hallissy but no Julia Casey. When I searched for Julia Casey marriages, there was none in the proper timeframe for Cahersiveen.
