Hello,

I'm trying to find the origins of my 3x great grandfather (and hence my 2x GGF) William Kenny.  There is some evidence that they came frrom "Kilkenny" with no indication if it is Kilkenny Town or the County.  William had 2 sons, William (my GGF) and Mark and possibly a daughter Sarah.  William Sr was born in 1747 and died in the Ottawa area of Canada in 1852 (yes, that IS 105 years).  William Jr was born in 1819.  There appears to be evidence that Mark and his wife Jane Hand baptised theri son William in Moneenroe.  This is the only eviidence I have that the family home MAY have been in the Moneenroe townland.

So far the only solid evidence I have are the birthdates and the connection to "Kilkenny" and that they emigrated to Canada in the 1820s.  Their story is well documented once they landed here but the details of their lives in Ireland are sketchy at best.

Oh yes, they were Church or Ireland.

Any clues would be greatly appreciated.
