I'm researching the family of my G-Grandfather, Thomas LEAHY, married to Jane MACAULEY, from the Balrathburry townland of Kells, Co. Meath. I have census records, but have been unable to find cemetery records. My G-Grandfather most probably worked on the Nicholson Estate; his son John LEAHY, is known to have been the Estate Manager (don't know the dates).

Hi,
We in Kells Archaeological & Historial Society did a survey of Balrath graveyard May 2012. http://www.kahs.ie/Grave%20Survey/Balrath%20Demense/Inscriptions.htm
Didnt find any headstones with Leahy but Mc Cowley might be an older/other spelling of Mc Cauley. When browsing burial records in St Columba's church, Kells, I saw notes on some people saying that they were buried out in Balrath but dont remember how old the records were.
