Hello.
My 2nd Great Grandfather, Christopher King, came from Kells. The information I have is as follows:
Christopher's parents were Christopher King and Mary Mangan. We are not sure where Mary was born.
Christopher (the son) was baptized (Catholic) on 9 January, 1815 - sponsors were Christopher Sheridan and Mary Hickey.
Christopher's brother Laurence was baptized 4 October, 1816 - Sponsors Thomas Sheridan and Mary Donogan
Christopher's brother, Charles was baptized 30 October 1822 - sponsors John Tobin and Margaret Newman.
Christopher's sister Catherine was baptized 6 May 1822 sponsors Mathew Murphy and Margaret McCormack
Christopher (son) was married on 30 November 1851 to Mary Fitzsimons. Witnesses were Pat King and Mary Glannon
I am visiting Ireland next month, specifically Trim and Kells. If there are any extended family members still there, I would love to meet them!
Any assistance that could be provided would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello Lucy
Thank you for contacting me. Unfortunately, I have not gotten any response. I was hoping that, since I have some specific information, that I might find SOMETHING that would lead to my finding any extended family still in Kells (or any other part of Ireland). I will be in Ireland next month, staying two days in Trim and I plan to visit Kells and the church that my GGGrandparents were married in. If nothing else, I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know the local people there. I am a newspaper photographer and I am planning to document the entire trip!
Thank you in advance for anything you can do to help!
