My greatgrandfather Francis Murphy was found drowned in the River Lea and the write up in the paper said he was a sailor from a ship from USA
.How can i find what ships were in from America in 1897 berthed at the Marina on the River Lea Cork.

The River Lee runs through Cork City. The port that services Cork is now called Cobh then it was called Queenstown. There should be a report from some harbor master maintained by Irish Ports. John Murphy.
