hi I am looking for any information regarding Damiel Dalton, born 1826 in Athea. His father may have been John Dalton. No Information on his mother.so I am very interested in information about his parents. I believe he and his wife Ellen a'Hearn emigrated to the US, New York State, with their children before 1865. I think that Ellen's mothers name was Nora..maiden name Scanlon.

Hello again!
We are doing a cleanup of unanswered messages and I saw your message from January 7th. Looks like the RC records for Athea start in 1830 http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0861 I searched on Roots Ireland for baptismal records for Dalton children with father John in Athea but did not locate any records. I did find this 1850 marriage record in the Athea records. Looks like they had at least six children. The transcriptions for the second oldest and youngest are below. They also had James 1851 Patrick 1855 Timothy 1857 and William 1860.
Let me know if you have questions.

Thanks for trying to help. I'm not sure that Daniel's ( who married Ellen Ahern) dad was John......must have found something that made me think that. Just tying to get past Daniel and Ellen in the family tree.
