Verdun,
I attach a copy of the marriage of a Thomas Shea and Maria Fitzgerald in Fedamore in January 1831. No. 28 on page.
I have not found any property record for him, so far.
Parents names or addresses are not recorded on the register.
I will get back to you if I find any relevant entries on records for the parish.

Thank you so much for the finding all this information. My grandfather who was Laurence's grandson knew very little about his family. Laurence appears to have changed his birth date on arrival in Australia for some reason. I will follow up the leads you have given me. How Laurence came to be in Australia remains a mystery but he did go on to become a very successful businessman. Thank you again.

Verdun,
Civil records in Ireland are from January 1st 1864. Church of Ireland marriage records are from 1845.
Most of the population would not have attended school prior to this, so they were depending on the baptism record for their age.
Roots Ireland do not have the birth date, just the record of the baptism.
To assist in getting records, the following are the baptism dates recorded in Roots:
Bridget - May 5th 1834 - James - August 28th 1836 - Helen - April 21st 1844 - Michael - March 28th 1846.
Record for Laurence you have.
Best Wishes,
McCoy
