Hi Helena,
I checked the historicgraves site for Breen in the Old graveyard of Kilbeheny and found no Breen.
There is an Ahearne grave there from 1751.
http://historicgraves.com/old-graveyard/li-ogkb-234/grave.
On Griffith valuation records of about 1850 there is a Breen and a Breene in Carrigeen.
http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/index.xml?action=doNam…
The ledger
http://griffiths.askaboutireland.ie/gv4/z/zoomifyDynamicViewer.php?file…
shows that entry Breen Carriggeen 17 is linked to Breene Carrigeen 20.
If you look at the map viewer on the page and expand it until you can read the area name Kilbeheny you will find that 'Kilbeheny' word finishes in the townland of Carrigeen and that the 'Y' rests on the top of a 'V' shaped plot of land. There is a number 7 beside the Y. Follow the plot down along 7.8.9.10. to the point of the V where there is a 17 and a 20. Those are the plots for Breen and Breene.
I don't know of any Breen around there now but I will ask around. There is a Breeney just down that road who I meet occasionaly. I will ask her when we meet again.
