My Grandmother was Brigid Mullins born January 20, 1870. She was baptized on Jan. 23, 1870.
Her father was Patrick Mullins and mother was Johanna Maloney
Diocese of Kashel Parish of Kilbehenny
I guess the next step is finding their marriage record and maybe their census records.

Dave:
This 1901 census record may be your family. I did not see them in the same townland in 1911 but there were other Mullins families. I will do some further searching.

Dave:
I located two possible civil death index records for a Patrick Mullins in the Mitchelstown registration district which includes Kilbeheny parish. Also, I;m guessing that Patrick was older than age 50 in 1901. Ages were usually understated in that census. Note ages provided on death records came from the informants and was their best guess of the age of the deceased.

Hi Roger
Thank you so much for the help. This does seem to fit. I have heard of William but it isn't the same person who is there now. Honora doesn't sound familiar. But, Brigid would have left the household much earlier than the 1901 census. She emegrated before the turn of the century. My mother was born in US in 1900.
Knocknascrow is the place. I'm not sure what that is; maybe a township or barony? But it is still there. I've been there.
Thanks again.
Best wishes from Massachusetts US.

Dave:
Knocknascrow is a very large townland over 1500 acres. Townlands are the smallest land division in Ireland. Usually they are in the 300-700 acres range. A number of townlands make up a civil parish like Kilbehenny.

That explains it. We were wondering where the name came from.

Digger Dave, my great grandma was Ellen Mullins older sister to Bridget. I have info on the family if you are interested.

Yes, I would be interested. How do I contact you?
Adding to this: I just emailed my sister who is older than I. She knew Madiline Nash and Nellie. She knew a lot of the people we were talking about. Sha asked me to contact you and give you her email address. She has a lot of the information that is missing. My email address is dsher10578@gmail.com Please contact me directly. Hopefully we can exchange some more information.
About 2002 we went to Kilbenhey and visited the farm. Bill and Nick were in Mitchelstown at the farmers market so we missed them.
Thanks for contacting us.
