Hello, I am looking for help with two queries:

GREEN.  Francis Green of Craig, and Kilkeedy, Limerick, married to Elizabeth (?) and had the following children: Mary Green (Eldest dau), Elinor Green, Frances Green (b. 1773), Ann Green (b. 1775), William Green (d. 1796, 3rd son, drowned near Ennis), and at least 2 other sons.  I am looking to know who is Francis Green connected to? And more information on his daughter, Frances, b. 1773 and who she may have married?

HORAN.  Robert Horan died 1771, of Newcastle West, Limerick and Dublin.  His sons, were Tobias Horan (who married Margaret Meredith, dau of Richard Meredith & Frances Green, dau of George Green, Abbey, Limerick) and Elias Horan.  I am looking for more information on Robert, who his siblings might be, and especially if he had sisters and who they may have married.

Any help or insights would be gratefully appreciated.

  • Hello:  my grandmother’s maiden name is Horan.  Her parents were Charles (born in Boston in 1847).  His wife was Katherine Brennan (born in Galway in 1846).   Charles father was Timothy, born in Ireland.  I can’t find his wife’s name.  Good luck.  Kerry

    The above is from Limerick Library where they have complied a list of obits. There are a few mentions of Greens in it that may be helpful.

    Frances (Fanny) Green married James Cockbourne, Lieutenant inthe 69th regiment in LImerick as reported in The Dublin Chronicle  on May 28 1791.
