Mary Enright, child of Patrick Enright and Johanna Burke was born in Kilmallock, Limerick, Ireland on 3 Jun 1864. I am looking for any information about any of these people to assist me in my search for my Irish ancestoral roots. Thank you in advance for any assistance or information you may be able to provide. Mary Enright is one of my maternal great grandmothers.

Hi,
Thank you very much for your message. I hope that someone with information makes a connection with you and helps you to further your research.
In the meantime, have you tried looking at church records to see if you can find anymore information? For example Patrick and Johanna?s marriage record or possible their own birth records. Most Catholic records are held locally so you may need to write to the local parish priest for possible assistance. One website that you may find useful is the Irish Times where they give an overview of what records are available in specific parishes. It also shows you where copies of the records are available. For Kilmallock parish, follow this link:
You could also try searching online at:
www.familysearch.org has a huge database of genealogical records including some church records for Ireland.
www.rootsireland.ie have a large collection of Irish Church records, however you have to pay to use this site.
You could also check for record of the family in the land records pertaining to Ireland in the 19th century. There are two:
The Tithe Applotment Books (1823-1838) found at http://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie/search/tab/home.jsp
and Griffith?s Valuation (1848-1864) found at http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/
Civil registration began in Ireland in 1864 so any births, deaths or marriages in the family after this date would be recorded in these records. Civil records are available from the General Register?s Office. Here are their contact details:

Have you tried looking for the family in the 1901/1911 census records? If not here is the link:
