I did check Roots Ireland and four transcripts of baptismal records for children of Patrick Carmody and Bridget Ryan.

Patrick 1860, Honora 1861, Bridget 1864 and Denis 1866. No record for John. I did take a quick look at the register and did not see a record for John in 1862 and 1863 but you need to do your own review. The register is in Latin and the name of the child comes first so look for Joannes records.

I believe we are looking for the same ancestors. Carmody, blacksmiths from Oola.

Denis Carmody DOB 22/5/1866 he was married to bridget wallace they had a son Denis my grandfather on my Mothers side. My grandfather Denis was born in 10/2/1894. His mother died in 1895 and he was brought up by his grandparents David and Margaret Wallace. They lived in Ballycahill county Limerick. My Grandparents Denis & Ellen lived in the same house untilled they passed away. I rember the house very well as my parents would take us kids to visit on Sundays. The house is still standing but I don`t know who owns it now. My Grandfather married Ellen Harte and they had 13 children they one of whom was my Mother Margaret. my Mother Married Patrick Daly and there are 8 of us children 7 living. I can confirm the dates i have through documentation and one of my grandfather`s children is still living in Ireland. I went to visit her earlier in the year and she was able to confirm my info.i al My email address is margaretgad72@gmail .com if you want to contact me.
