I am looking for information about the Mears/Meares family from near Tang or Lisaquil. My Grandfather Joseph came to England with his younger brother Patrick in the very early 1900s [1911 English census].. They were the son of Patrick Mears My Grandfather was born around 1882. I think he spent some time at Mount st Joseph boarding school around 1901. he seemed to come from a family of 7 children so I'm hoping there is someone out there that knows something. Sue

Sue:
There was some confusion with the surname spelling in 1901. Although the names was shown as Mears he appeared to sign Meary. I also located Joseph in his school in Dublin. In the 1911 census the family was shown as Meares.
