I am not sure that I placed my last query in the proper category,. So sorry if I entered it incorrectly.I
My third great grandfather, Christopher Leavey is indicated on "The Flax Growers Bounty List, 1796 for Longford County. I don't have ancestry.com, but just read an article on their site about this list. It mentions in addition to the name of the grower and county of residence, reference numbers are provided for those desiring further information regarding a specific entry. It further states that researchers may contact the Ulster Historical Foundation to obtain this information.
My question is how do I obtain this reference number, please? I would like to obtain all information that is available, but can't do so without the reference number. Any assistance is very much appreciated.
Thank you

Joyce,
I would e-mail the UHF and ask them. I wouldn't expect too much information from the records though. Like the spinning wheel lists etc, these lists are often just a list of people, in this case who were growing flax.

Elwyn,
It is very good to know that this list contains limited information. Thank you for sharing that. Your help is so appreciated and thank for the link to UHF.
