My 5th G. Grandfther William Greene from Co Louth b about 1720.
Could he be a brother to rev Robert Greene b 1718 from Collon louth?
Can anyone point me to some records or a book?
Williams son Henry was a Dr so this family must of been well healed enough to be well educated.

Hi Della
there a a couple of sites that may assist you. The name was on aa business here in Drogheda until the last few years, it was a furniture store, think the name may still be there.
First there is a site for all of Louth that is very detailed here http://www.jbhall.freeservers.com/ and a site for Collon History here, I am aware some other Collon people got assistance from those mentioned on it. See http://www.collonhistoricalsociety.com/ By the way locally this is pronouced Cullen as it is from the Gaelic name as you can read on the site.
I am attaching a pdf from a copy of a trade directory for County Louth, Drogheda Section dated 1886 so you can see the Greenes named, the were the only names in it I think that had a business in recent times.
If they were Church of Ireland there may be records for that time which are been put on line.slowly but can be hard to find.
If yo think I can assist further please let me know.
