Trying to track down Margaret J. Conlin, from Mayo or Sligo, she would have gone to USA prior to 1880. My great grandmother.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
Need more information. Any idea of her year of birth from USA census records? Do you have any info on parents names from her death record or other sources? There are at least four baptismal records from 1845-1855 which are possibilities.

Brian:
The only record on Roots Ireland which meets your parental information is below. I know that 1852 is earlier than what you had expected. However, many Irish immigrants made themselves younger when they came to a new country. Also, I'm always sceptical when I see a March 17th or December 25th birthday. It is also possible that this record is for another Margaret Conlon. The townland on the record is Killanny which I can't locate on the official townland list.
Let me know what you think about the record below.
