Terrance O'Brien; my husbands' maternal great great grandfather. He married a woman named Mary Catherine Smith and emigrated to the US where he had a family. I am keen to know whether there are any related O'Briens still in Moynalty, and also whether Terrance and Mary had any brothers and sisters. I am thinking of doing a bucket list visit and would like to be able to take him to some places that have a familial historical connection.
Thank you for your time and attention.

OldBird:
Terence O'Brien and Mary Smyth were married August 3 1838 at Moynalty. They had a son Edward baptized May 22 1839 at Moynalty. I presume they emigrated sometime in late 1839 or in 1840. The Moynalty RC records start in 1829/1839 so there won't be a baptismal record for Terence or Mary.
The 1901 census does show at least three O'Brien families around Moynalty in the 1901 census. No way to know if they are related to Terence. Smith/Smyth is a very common surname in Co.Meath,
You may want to have your husband take a general DNA test. He will likely have 3rd/4th cousin matches on the O'Brien line who are living in the USA/Canada/Australia and possibly Ireland who have more information on his family connections in Ireland.

I think Roger and my message were coming across at the same time. In addition to his DNA testing recommendation, you might look at Ancestry that has 52 trees for Terrence and his family.
