According to the copy of The Last Will of Thomas Phillips in my possesion, Thomas lived in Aghafin House County Monaghan.
The will is dated 31st., July 1855. In the will he leaves to his son George H., a part interest in Aghafin House and another property He calls Drumbrain.
My Family history records have Thomas borne @ 1772. First married to Marry Martha Whitcombe, and His second wife was Jane Harshaw.
I have been unable to trace the Phillips history beyond this point. I would be very appreciative of any assistance.
I have found one reference in the Tithe Books to a Thomas Phillips, cross referenced with Drumbrain, but there is no way to confirm that this is "My ", Thomas Phillips.
Included in the " comments ", are 2 Decendant Trees created in the 1960's on tour by relatives of mine. Hope they can help someone!
Sincerely, Rob - whale@eagle.ca

Goodafternoon-
I too have a copy of "Will Thomas Phillips, Aghafin House, Clones, Ireland dated 1855. I have some additional information on the Phillips family tree. Thomas first wife was Mary Martha Emma Ross (Nee' Whitcombe) so some of the information is matching already.
George H. Phillips M.D. (eldest son) maried Anne Foster. and had a son Charles Thomson Phillips.
I would like to see what you have as far as decendent trees, and compare them to the documents I have. It would truly be amazing if we were speaking of the same Phillips line.
Sincerely, John
