I am searching for details about my great-great grandfather George Long from Monaghan. That is the only information I have about him.
His son Henry William (born in Ireland in 1838) sailed to NZ in 1862 on the 'African'. He was an Episcopalian.
He fought in the land wars in Waikato with the Forest Rangers, then became a farmer and married Anne Gillespie in 1867.

A clue to George might be that Henry was an Episcopalian.
