I am researching the family of Samuel McKee (1815-1873) and Mary McKee (1816abt-1869) of Derrycreevey, Casleblaney, Muckno, Monagham.
They had children William, Samuel, Caroline, Louis and Elizabeth who immigrated to Australia and New Zealand.
I have traced ancestry to Samuel and Mary however am stuck at Derrycreevy. I beleive Marys maiden name was also McKee. Mary died of TB in Derrycreevy and may have been born there also.
I beleive Samels father was Samuel senior. Samuel died in a workhouse at Castleblaney and was born in Derrycreevy.
Does anyone know of the origins of McKee's in that area?
Regards
Lynette

Dear Lynette
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I see that there are 16 McKee entries listed on Griffith?s Valuation (1847-1864):
There are also some McKee entries in the Tithes (1823-1832):

Unfortunately RC records for Muckno don?t begin until 1835 while Church of Ireland records begin in 1810.The RCB library has not yet digitised the Muckno records:

Have you tried to access the Board of Guardian Books for Castleblaney Workhouse on the off-chance they provide some small piece of information?
