Searching for information on David Wails (or Wales) and his spouse Elizabeth McGaghy. They had a daughter, Esther, born in Co Monaghan in 1869, so were obviously born and married some time prior to that. Thanks.

You could begin your search by checking www.familysearch.org or www.rootsireland.ie (a subscription site) to see if you can find any record of your Wails ancestors. As Esther was born after 1864 when civil registration began in Ireland (generally speaking) you will be able to find a civil record of her birth and therefore the recorded spelling of her parent?s names on her birth cert. You may also be lucky enough to find a civil marriage record for her parents, taking you back a further generation.
