hi,

I am trying to trace my g-Grandfathers siblings who emigrated to New York c.1900.

As far as I know Katie b.1874 left first, some time before the 1901 Irish Census was taken.

Owen b.1879 went next, arriving 8 MAY 1901.

Bridget b,1877 and Peter b.1872 may have followed after.

I can't seem to find them in the US Census returns in NY for some reason ??

    I have obtained a copy of my g-grandparents Marriage cert. and it looks like my g--g-grandparents were Owen McGUIRK and Rose TREANOR.

    It looks like the couple had 7 children the first in 1869.

    Mary Anne b.1869
    Hugh b.1870 - my g-grandfather
    Bridget b.1872
    Katie/Catherine b.1874 - emigrated New York
    Owen b.1879 - emigrated New York
    James b.1881
    Peter b.1882
