Hello, I am seeking conections to the name Fox from Gorteen. There is a Margaret Fox on Griffith's in 1855 leasing from Eleanor Hyland. I am wondering if this Margaret might be my 3rd great grandmother, born Byrne.
On the bapt of daughters Hanoria and Margaret Fox in 1845 and 1847, it appears to show Gorteen in brackets.
Margaret's husband Christopher is a big brick wall for me. I'm also unclear on what happened to Honoria and Margaret. I do know that Margaret and two other children Michael and Bridget came to Australia.
Any further assistance would be deeply appreciated.

I searched the subscription site Roots Ireland and located the likely marriage record for Christopher Fox and Margaret Byrn (Byrne). The record was in the Daingean/Philipstown RC parish records November 4 1836- Christy Fox and Margaret Byrn. No witness data. You may want to check the Daingean register https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0723 Daingean is the RC parish just north of Killeigh which is the Geashill parish. Killeigh baptismal records start in April 1844. My guess is that after the marriage, the couple moved to Geashill. They had children who were baptized in Killeigh pre-1844. Those records apparently were lost but the records for the two younger children are available as you indicated. There is no death information for Killeigh parish.

Thank you for your time and input Roger. It's very appreciated.
These 3 records are the only ones I could find in Ireland. Mary Kiernan and John Malloy were the witnesses for the wedding in Philipstown.
I have trawled through various parish baptism and marriage records searching for more answers with no luck. I thought perhaps I could find them as sponsors or witnesses but no luck with that either.
I will keep trying. Thanks again for your time.
