Jeff:
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
We do not have a parish liaison in Killoughy civil parish. We do have a PL in Rahan just to the north. How can we help you?

I coming 'home' this July...
My wife is from Dublin (Newlands Cross area out on the Naas Road). Been to Ireland many times, but never have had the time to get to Killoughy. My 4x Great Gandfather, William Sheppard was born there about 1785 and died in Albany NY 31 Aug 1868.
I'm determind to see the area this time, and was wondiring if someone from Ireland XO would be willing to show a crazy American around. The last of my gandmother's cousins was there back in the mid 80's and did a ton of research back in the day when you could still walk into the church and look at the record books at will. About four years ago she and I commisioned the Offaly Historical Society to do a report on the Shepperd's in Killoughy. The report validated her reserch was acurate. She was planing to return to Ireland with her daugther (my 2nd cousin 1st removed) last autum, but passed away last August (2016).
I do a ton of research on my wife's Ardiff line in Lexlip/Maynooth, and have become very, very framiliare with the area, It has been very hard to get a perspective of Killoughy. Which is why on this trip I'm determind to see the area.
