My greatgrandfather was William Wall m. to Anne Corrigan and they worked for Lord Lascelles.  Both died in their 30's and their son Patrick was sent to Roscrea School by Lascelles and then joined the Royal Canadian Leinster Regiment.

Would you have any information on William Wall.

They were originally from Birr, Co. Offaly

  • Hi Mary,

I actually know someone called William Wall. I'll email him and see if there is any relation of his from around the Birr area. This could be the beginnings of something exciting.

    Thanks for the query.

  • Hi Mary,

I've checked with my friend and he has no relations called Wall in Birr. It's a pity, I had a good feeling about this.

  • There was a family named Wall living in The Rocks, Birr many years ago.  Coincidentally one of the girls of that family married a man named Stone.  While the famly are no longer in The Rocks, some of the decendents srill live in Roscrea - named Egan.
