Does anyone on here have ties to the Drury family? My 3x great grandfather was Bernard or Barney Drury from Boyle, Roscommon. I believe his parents were Martin Drury and Brigid Henry or Henery.
Barney was born around 1810 and emigrated to the United States in 1830.
Thank you.

Welcome back to Ireland Reaching Out!
I located this 1796 record with the correct parents. Is this your ancestor? I also found an Anne in 1817 and a Michael in 1793

JillYes, I think it is. I had found this record before but what baffles my cousin and I is Barney's naturalization record in the United States indicates he was born in 1810. However, his age seems to vary a great deal from Census to Census. Thank you so much for your reply.

I may need to keep searching for an 1810 birth record. Any advice?

Jill:
You can manually scan the Boyle register but there is a baptismal record gap between 1806-1811 http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0548

I'm revisiting another U.S. record and I think he might have been born in 1799 so I will look through the Boyle baptismal record again.
