I am searching for information regarding my great-grandfather, Michael Patrick Keaveney. He was born around 1855. His father, also Michael, was a blacksmith, who was deceased when Michael Patrick married in 1882. Michael Patrick emigrated to Liverpool then Manchester, where he married Ellen Cosgrove in 1882. They had 8 children, one of whom was my grandfather.
Any information that may connect me to my ancestors would be appreciated.

I looked at Roots Ireland www.rootsireland.ie They have an 1856 baptismal record for a Michael Keaveney (or variant spelling) whose father was Michael in the Tibohine/Fairymount RC records. Roots is a pay site to view the transcription of the church record. Don't know if this is your relative. Do you know his mother's name or any siblings?
